1M per? come on that's ridiculous, he has to hold out for a better offer, he just won the cup, this is so unrealistic.

the Hawks could have won the cup with Garon in nets. It's not like he had to be a Halak and actually save his team

I agree. Niemi is definitely a $2m+ goalie.

ya, lets see him do good with no team in front of him, both goalies in the finals, niemi and leighton are not #1's, anyone could have played net for those 2 teams

$2m salary for a goalie does not make him "out of this world". It would make him above average. Look at goalie salaries around the league and then ask yourself if $2m annually is too much for a Stanley Cup winning Finnish goalie.

ya, he probably is worth 2Million + but i would say hes a great goalie, like Leclaire in Ottawa is making 3.8 Mill and hes average

Yeaaaah but Leclaire was signed to that deal by the Blue Jackets, immediately after he went 24-17-6 with 2.25 and .919 numbersin 2007-08. It was his first significantly good season after already having 7 pro seasons under his belt, so the deal was very... questionable.
